Our client is looking for experienced Field Service Technicians with 5 years automation experience. This Field Service Technician position is a direct hire opportunity that can begin immediately! Client is located north of Pittsburgh.

OVERVIEW OF THE FIELD SERVICE POSITION:


The Field Service Rep will perform the startup and maintenance of client equipment/robotics/machinery.
Assist in unpacking robotic and automation equipment.
The Field Service Rep will validate installation of the equipment (mechanics, alignment, position of cables).
Ensure robotic/automation equipment is working properly.
Test all interfaces / press and robot / peripherals.
The Field Service Rep will run equipment in production and supervise proper functionality.
Perform all repairs and service.
Perform all inspections per scheduled need and perform maintenance.
The Field Service Rep will train customers on proper use of robots.
Accomplish telephone assistance when needed.
Write detailed documentation of all actions including service reports and product modification
70-80% TRAVEL REQUIRED

QUALIFICATIONS FOR FIELD SERVICE REP:

Associates Degree required.
The Field Service Rep will have a minimum of 3 years of service, with Automation (Robotics) operation, PLC programming, and interfaces.
Ability to read blueprints, assembly drawings, and wiring schematics.
Working knowledge of all equipment used in the field.
Experience with basic hand and power tools.
The Field Service Rep will have experience with diagnostic tools.

SKILLS:

The Field Service Rep will have PLC Programming
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have a "customer first" mentality.
Ability to work independently.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Must be versed in basic computer skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required stand for extended periods of time.
MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL WITHIN THE USA.
Able to work in confined spaces, lifting heavy equipment, and bending down frequently.
