We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our client north of Pittsburgh. The mechancal engineer wiil execute robotic
automation projects by designing and supporting automation projects. The mechanical engineer will follow the program from purchase order through the implementation.

EXPECTATIONS OF THIS ROLE:

 * Design custom spacers/risers for adapting of standard equipment to customer s  automation 
equipment
*  Generate robot layouts for specific installations at customer sites
* Mechanical Engineer will design custom guarding enclosures for operator protection
* Generate detail drawings for manufacturing needs within proposed scope of work and budget
* Participate in or lead design reviews with customer
* Participate in component procurement activities

GENERAL:

* Mechanical Engineer required to communicate and interact professionally with customers
* Required to support all peripheral departments in project execution
* Required to maintain intended project schedules
* Required to travel (< 10%) to support the project requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering preferably from an ABET program
1-2 years of work experience
Design experience is preferred
General understanding of manufacturing practices/processes
Detail oriented person working with minimal mistakes due to the nature of the product
Communicates clearly and professionally
Ability to work unsupervised
Manages own schedule to maintain project requirements
Works within project budgets
Ability to apply general engineering calculations for machine design
Understands general drawing requirements and tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Works proficiently in Solidworks
Experience with pneumatic and electric actuators
